2026-09-26 · The rig is how I arrange a place so it keeps answering me. I tested it against four literatures. What held: an arrangement can set out the conditions for flow (clear goals, quick feedback, a challenge that fits the hands) but never flow itself. Tools do enter the body; in macaque neurons it takes minutes. Nobody has yet shown that for a corkboard or a slip-box. Belief matters through self-efficacy, not luck. The lucky charm did not replicate.

2026-09-26 · Talking out loud, I got the rig down to one sentence: my needs, tied to what can be configured, tied to what is configured, in a loop that keeps retuning. Then the cases came: a trading floor that tunes itself to its traders' EEG, twenty-three AI coding platforms nobody can rig by hand, the camera rig Disney built for Bambi, and an ontology of cheeses, the first time ontologies made sense to me. A harvest; the last stretch is kept verbatim.

2026-09-26 · The rig is not only mine, and not only human. A practitioner can be a person, a machine, a team or a mix, and the same agent can hold the tools in one rig and be a tool in another. v0.3 writes that as first-order logic our forge emits. A rig keeps a history instead of a stored state, and its twin is complete only against what we chose to observe, never absolutely. Pointed at our own stack on 26 September, the hand-kept twin said: degraded, four needs unmet, the kernel unobserved.

2026-09-30 · Mass has meaning, the Rig, and the trickster answer three connected questions: how does something come to matter, how can the conditions under which it matters be arranged, and what happens when the arranger discovers that those arrangements also constitute the arranger? The cosmic joke belongs to the third. It does not cancel agency; it makes agency recursive.
